Moca-Un cuadrangular con las bases llenas en el primer episodio de Andy Camilo fue la clave para que el equipo de Nueva York (Liga Internacional) venciera 6x3 a la República Dominicana (Neyba), en el partido final de la Serie Mundial de Beisbol Infantil “Moca 2009”, en el cual se disputó la quinta copa Carlos Gómez.
El partido escenificado en el Estadio Eduardo Viñas a casa llena, vio como los neoyorkinos fabricaron cinco carreras en el primer episodio ante los envíos del lanzador de Neyba Junior Labour, siendo esto decisivo para su triunfo en el evento dedicado al Subsecretario de Deportes (Santiago Cabrera).
El equipo dominicano realizó dos carreras en el quinto episodio para poner el marcador 6x3 todavía en ventaja para los campeones, y en su última entrada embasó sus primeros dos bateadores, pero Wesly Rodríguez retiró los tres últimos bateadores del encuentro para comenzar la celebración a favor del equipo de Nueva York.
Al finalizar el partido el organizador Rolando Paulino entregó los trofeos a Nueva York (campeón del evento), Neyba fue el sub-campeón, el equipo anfitrión de Moca fue tercer lugar y los Estados Unidos ocupó la cuarta posición. El jugador más valioso fue el lanzador abridor de Nueva York Adam de la Cruz.
El trofeo de campeón fue entregado por el Diputado Eddy Flores, el cual entregó en nombre del Senado una partida de 50,000.00 mil pesos al certamen donde participaron seis equipos internacionales, Puerto Rico, Estados Unidos (Dos equipos), Nicaragua, Ecuador, Venezuela y cinco nacionales, Moca, Neyba, Distrito Nacional, Nagua y Puerto Plata.
Por los campeones de Nueva York se destacaron; Andy Camilo, cuadrangular y cuatro impulsadas, Mcdaniel Almanzar tres sencillos, Adam de la Cruz dos sencillos y Wesly Rodríguez un sencillo. Por los subcampeones de Neyba, Hipólito Florián, Jean Carlos Pérez, Freddy Peña y Jeffrey Nova un sencillo cada uno.
