Copa de la Arquidiócesis de Santo Domingo, Primer Torneo de Golf Juventud y Familia
La pareja conformada por Jaime Vargas y Rubén Rojas combinaron sus drive y los hierros, precisando 66 golpes en los 18 hoyos de los links de Las Lagunas, para proclamarse campeones del Primer Torneo de Golf Juventud y Familia en la copa de la Arquidiócesis de Santo Domingo.
El galardón fue entregado por Alejandro Martínez, Orlando Santos y Juan Peralta, del comité organizador.
Los triunfadores, manifestaron que, “El evento estuvo bien organizado y se sintieron identificado por la causa de solidaridad, dedicándole el premio a Monseñor Ramón Benito Ángeles Fernández”.
Los recursos del certamen fueron en beneficio del Centro de Formación Integral Juventud y Familia (CEFIJUFA); proyecto ubicado en la nueva autopista Santo Domingo-Samaná, Juan Pablo II; asesorado y coordinado por Mons. Ángeles Fernández.
Antes de iniciarse el torneo que reunió 100 competidores, fue bendecido por el diácono José Ricardo Rosado, de la parroquia Nuestra Señora de La Altagracia de Herrera, quien es coordinador de Onda Juvenil Católica.
El comité organizador, estuvo conformado por Martínez, Santos y Peralta; además de Manuel Miranda, Claudia Oller, Israel Peralta y Antonio “Tonito” Ramírez, VP de la Federación Dominicana de Golf (FEDOGOLF) y directivo de la ACD.
El evento fue patrocinado por Empresas Dominicana EDOM (FIAT), Grupo Vicini, Proseguros, editora HOY (Grupo Corripio), Banco de Reservas, Banco Central, Grupo León Jimenes, Rizek C x A; Grupo Bocel, Fundación Propagas, LEIDSA, Supermercados La Cadena, The Shell Company; Fundación Brugal, hotel Santo Domingo, Todo Carro, Procom, Glonación Gráfica, Plaza Lama. Grupo Amos, Body Shop, hotel Jaragua, La Tabacalera, cigarros Rubirosa, Centro Gráfico, Golf Destinaire, Estación F y H, Emaus Hombres, Ferdinando Lamarche. Lácteos Dominicanos (LADOM), Refrescos Nacionales (Coca-Cola, Sprite y agua Dasani); Helados BON y Buen Provecho; entre otros colaboradores.
